There was great tension and excitement everywhere in Rivers West Senatorial District yesterday as a deep prophecy and revelation came from a very highly respected and powerfully anointed Man of God.
The cleric anointed Chief Hon. Dr. Progress Ogbokuma Aselemi, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Rivers West Senatorial District, declaring that his victory in the 2027 general election is sealed.
According to the words of the anointed Man of God, _"Very soon you will take over Rivers West Senatorial District."_
The prophetic declaration came as Chief Aselemi stormed the Abonnema Community Monthly Fasting and Prayer programme on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The monthly prayer gathering, which drew hundreds of community members, elders, women and youths, turned into a political carnival when Chief Aselemi arrived.
Mounting the podium amidst thunderous cheers and songs, Chief Aselemi unveiled his powerful manifesto to the good people of Rivers West Senatorial District, promising a new dawn of development, empowerment and purposeful representation.
In his brief but impactful speech, Aselemi said his mission is to rescue Rivers West from years of poor representation and give the district a voice that will be heard at the national level.
He pledged to prioritize human capital development, youth and women empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare, and security of lives and property across the riverine communities.
He also promised to attract federal presence to Abonnema and other neglected communities in the district if elected.
What happened next shocked everyone — the entire Abonnema Community rose in one voice, threw their weight behind him and adopted and anointed him _immediately_ as their Frontline Candidate for Rivers West Senatorial District come 2027 general election.
Community leaders, who spoke at the event, described Aselemi as a tested and trusted leader with the capacity to deliver.
They said after listening to his manifesto and witnessing the divine prophecy, they had no doubt that he is the man chosen for the job.
The atmosphere was electric as the people vowed to stand by him till victory is achieved, chanting solidarity songs.
With this divine endorsement and massive grassroots adoption, political watchers say the battle for Rivers West Senate seat has just begun, and that Chief Aselemi has sent a strong signal to other contenders ahead of the 2027 polls.
