...... 4-MONTH ROYAL WRESTLING FESTIVAL TO TOUR ALL 16 TOWNS

The Great Igbo Agwuru Asa Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs has announced the 2026 edition of its flagship cultural event, the *Annual Kings Wrestling Festival, tagged "Ngba Ndi Eze 2026"*.
The festival, convened by *HM King Dr. Samuel N. Amaechi, DSSRS, JP, KSC*, will commence on *Friday, 5th September 2026 in Chokocho Town* and run through a grand tour of all *16 towns of Igbo Ancient Kingdom*, culminating in a *Grand Finale at Obiri Igbo Ancient Kingdom on Friday, 26th December 2026*.
In a public notice signed by Chief Dr. Shammah Ayalebechi, Council PRO, and Eze Sir Festus Nwala, Igbo Agwuru-Asa Kingdom Cultural Chairman, the Council invited sons, daughters, friends, and lovers of the kingdom both home and abroad to witness the celebration of the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.

Organizers described the festival as a platform to showcase traditional wrestling, music, dance, and the values that define the Igbo Ancient Kingdom.
“Our culture, our pride. This is more than wrestling. It is unity, identity, and the passing of heritage from one generation to the next,” the notice stated.
The Council urged the general public to turn out en masse for what promises to be a fun-filled, colorful, and historic celebration.
