HRM Eze Engr. Chidume Okoro JP, the King and Paramount Ruler of Amano Autonomous Community, has bestowed royal commendation on the illustrious sons of Obohia Ancient Kingdom for their sacrificial support of the clergy during Eyirieyi 2026.
In a special appreciation message from the Rehoboth Palace, the highly respected monarch praised the donors for setting aside their personal comfort to ensure that Rev. Fathers, Rev. Sisters, and Ministers of God were duly honoured during the festival.
Quoting scripture, Eze Okoro declared:
“It is the promise of God that those who give a cup of water to His ministers will not go unrewarded. May the Almighty God reward all our great sons a hundredfold, IJMN.”
The King described the gesture as a shining example of faith, unity, and love for God and community. He noted that such selflessness by the sons of Obohia reinforces the values of Obohia Ancient Kingdom and strengthens the partnership between the throne, the church, and the people.
The royal commendation covered donors from Umuedo, Umuhuocha, Umungara, and Amaiyi villages who contributed towards the welfare of Indigenous Priests, Officiating Priests, Seminarians, Rev. Sisters, Choir members, Catechists and Ushers during Eyirieyi 2026.
A receipt signed by Rev. Fr. M. Iwuji, SJ, confirmed that the donations were received “with much thanks.”
Community stakeholders described the King’s public appreciation as regal, timely, and a morale booster for philanthropy in the kingdom.
